Tiga puluh tahun lalu ketika masih kuliah satu-satunya perusahaan yang produk dan layanannya saya gunakan adalah Perum Pos dan Giro – yang kini namanya PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero). Layanan tersebut adalah untuk penerimaan wesel dari orang tua setiap bulan, dan surat-menyurat dengan calon ibunya anak-anak hampir setiap hari. Apakah mahasiwa kini mengandalkan PT. Pos untuk wesel dan surat-menyuratnya ?,
Suatu pagi seekor bebek berjalan berdampingan dengan seekor kambing di pasar desa. Melihat ada tumpukan telur bebek yang dijual oleh seorang pedagang, sang bebek berkata ringan ‘wek wek wek, wek wek wek…’ yang artinya kurang lebih ‘itulah karyaku, itulah karyaku…’. Sambil terus berjalan keduanya kemudian melihat ada pedagang lain yang sedang menggantung karkas kambing yang baru dipotongnya. Dengan suaranya yang berat dan bergetar, sang kambing berkata ‘mbek, mbeek, mbeeek…’, yang artinya kurang lebih ‘itulah pengorbananku, pengorbanan keluargaku, pengorbanan bangsaku…’.
